Bookout Fee Schedule

What Bookout charges, disclosed before any Owner connects Stripe. This
schedule is part of the Terms of Service.

- The commission percentage is the platform default and may be lower for
Owners who sign up with a partner/affiliate code. The exact rate that
applies to your site is shown on the Stripe onboarding screen before you
connect your Stripe account, and in your Studio.
- Stripe's own processing fees (e.g. 2.9% + $0.30 for US cards) are
charged separately by Stripe to the Owner's connected account under the
Owner's agreement with Stripe. Bookout's commission does not include them.
- Bookout charges Owners no monthly platform subscription at this time.
Member-facing default pricing
Unless an Owner configures otherwise, member subscriptions on an Owner's
site are $25 one-time setup + $15/year, paid to the Owner's Stripe
account (with the platform commission deducted). Product prices are set by
each Owner.
Changes
Fee changes take effect no sooner than 30 days after notice to Owners by
email; the rate shown at your Stripe onboarding continues to apply until
such a notice takes effect.
Worked example
A $100 product sale (default rates): buyer pays $100.31. Bookout's
commission: $7.90 + the $0.31 line item. Stripe's fees (~$3.21 for a US
card) come out of the Owner's Stripe balance. Owner nets ≈ $89.20.
